On August 23rd the Eagle Rock Eagles Boys Varsity football team beat Taft High School by a score of whopping 48-8. The Eagles were able to kick off their season with a huge victory with much more to come. JV also won earlier that day, 14-6. The theme was, “Light up the Rock” and many dressed in neon colors, showing off their school spirit. The student section was vibrant as usual and especially so under the Friday Night Lights! It was an opportunity for the community and the school to come together in a celebratory fashion and a great way to kick off the school year. They’ll next play Monrovia away on the twenty ninth and our next home game will be 9/6 against Bell. Go Eagles!
