Your Eagle Rock girl’s soccer team is the Division ll CIF Los Angeles City Section Champs, again! Despite being just the 9th seed, lead by captains Rien DeVore-Barajas, Cyree Maneja, Abigail Velez, and Alice Wardle, the girls were able to clinch the title for the second consecutive time on Saturday against Chatsworth Charter High School. At the end of a hard-fought 80 minutes game with a 0-0 draw, the team eventually won in a penalty shoot-out. This marks a culmination of an amazing year, going an impressive 8-1-1 in their league. However, their season isn’t quite over yet, as they’ll be playing away on Tuesday against La Mirada High School for State. Congratulations, and wish them luck!
