Fall is officially upon us; bringing with it pumpkin spice, crunchy leaves, and cold, crisp mornings! Except, living in sunny Los Angeles, the only cold air you’ll feel this Fall is the frigid air conditioning of Eagle Rock’s classrooms. Walking into Trader Joe’s, you’ll be greeted by the sweet smell of their cinnamon broom sticks as you enter a Fall wonderland. Their seasonal flare is fully decked out, so here are the five Fall themed, Trader Joe’s snacks to get you into the autumnal spirit!
Maple & Sea Salt Kettle Popcorn
This kettle popcorn has all of the right things: perfect combo of sweet and salty, wonderful crunch, and delightfully seasonal maple flavor! Ever since discovering them at the store, they’ve been a staple in my household, as they’re great for an after school or mid-studying snack. You can mix them up with other Trader Joe’s maple flavored snacks, like the maple almonds or the maple leaf cookies. They’re also a must have for any movie night this Fall!
Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps
You may be familiar with Trader Joe’s fig and olive crisps, or their raisin rosemary crisps, but these pumpkin cranberry ones are a fun Fall-themed relation. Featuring thyme, nutmeg, turmeric, and of course, pumpkin and cranberries, these are cozy and savory snacks. If in need of a charcuterie board for your next Fall party, you may want to pick some of these up. They also go surprisingly well with the Trader Joe’s pumpkin cream cheese spread, if you want something on the sweeter side.
Pumpkin Spiced Madeleine Cookies
Year round, Trader Joe’s already has regular madeleines that are plenty good, but these pumpkin spiced ones are on a whole new level! My all time favorite Fall snack, this perfectly flavored madeleine is pumpkin pie in a cookie! Even if you're on the edge about pumpkin spice, these cookies could change your mind. My only problem with these comfy madeleines are that there are only five in a package! I’d be sure to stock up on these before they go out of season.
Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese Bites
These butternut squash mac and cheese bites are perfect for a cold afternoon, when you just need to warm up and feel cozy. It has a subtle blend of spices and squash, so if you’re looking for something with lots and lots of cheesy flavor, this may not be for you. However, these are still delightful and seasonal bites.
Maple Leaf Cookies
While these are not technically seasonal, these maple leaf cookies will keep you in the Fall spirit all year long. In the shape of a festive maple leaf, this sandwich cookie features wonderfully sweet maple creme and crunchy shortbread cookies. Not only is it fun for a Fall day, but any day you want a little Autumn flavor to spice up your day.
Whatever your plans are this Fall, binging Gilmore Girls, getting cozy with a murder mystery, sipping warm tea or coffee, or taking brisk walks in the cool weather, these Fall snacks will perfectly accompany your season this year. Happy Autumn!
