On October 30th, the classes of 2025 (Luminians) and 2026 (Ethereals) went head to head in the annual Halloween skit contest.

At the beginning of lunch, students from all grades joined on the quad to celebrate the spooky spirit of the holiday and cheer on their classmates and sister classes.

The junior class put on a small but mighty performance inspired by The Walking Dead. JCO skit commissioner Anabella Caudillo expressed that what the class lacked in members, they made up for in long, dedicated hours of rehearsal and ample passion and excitement for the event.

The junior skit was an excellent reenactment of all things gory, zombies and horror films and is expected to only get better (and bigger) when they perform as seniors next fall.

On the other hand, the senior class pulled out all the stops with their choreography and music choices, making their half of the performance not one to forget. Themed after the haunting title The Conjuring 2, the Luminians stole the show with synchronized steps, intricate props and flag football star, Haylee Weatherspoon, whose nun costume was so detailed she was unrecognizable and nearly had us all convinced that she actually was possessed.

Ultimately, there can only be one winner, and in the eyes of the judges, that was the class of 2025, but you can watch the video below and decide for yourselves! Congratulations seniors and Happy Halloween everyone!
