About
Mia Walker (she/her) is a new journalist for the Eagle’s Scream. Her story begins in the neighborhood we all know and love, Eagle Rock. She grew up with her parents, her younger brother, and her little Yorkie named Baxter. From kindergarten to 6th grade, she attended Dahlia Heights Elementary school, and during her time there, developed a love for reading and began her career in tennis. She also enjoys drawing, a skill which she hopes to display in our publication.
In the more recent chapters of her life, Mia still plays tennis, even being on the school’s tennis team. Aside from sports, she has been in Model UN since 8th grade and is now the treasurer of the club. Not only that, Mia is in the DP program. Talk about doing it all!
In terms of her future, Mia hopes to attend college and possibly pursue a career in social justice. She would also like to move somewhere, like Chicago, as she does not want to spend the rest of her life in Los Angeles. If those plans do not work out, however, she’d be satisfied working in a small bookstore.
