Sophie Seifert (she/her) is a unique, creative, and determined 10th grader with a big heart. She loved her childhood, especially reading when she was little. Her favorite place in the world is San Clemente, California, and she loves the beach. She has three pets currently: a dog named Auggie, a cat named Ollie, and a tortoise called Leroy. She has been in the Journalism class for 3 years and is currently a staff writer. Writing has always been one of her favorite pastimes since she was younger, and after being in Mr. Hicks’ English class in 7th grade, she joined. Besides writing, Sophie would like to possibly write photographic essays, so she joined journalism’s photography committee. She loves the idea of telling a story with pictures. Listening to music, especially old rock songs and bands like Elliot Smith, the Pixies, and the Smiths is also another one of her passions. After getting her driver’s permit this summer, she realized that she should never underestimate herself when trying to achieve her goals.
