As a child, Kat Barlet (she/her) enjoyed life in Highland Park with her older sister, mother, and father. Starting young, Kat loved writing not only as a way to express herself but as an art form. She saw a way to project her thoughts and feelings, a way to express herself in ways spoken word couldn’t. She also appreciates other kinds of art. As a child, she took well into doodling and painting.

In more recent years, Kat not only still enjoys the hobbies above but also visiting art museums. Despite not favoring a specific movie genre, Kat loves movies that love to make you think. She enjoys being outside and considers herself very appreciative of natural beauty.

Although not particularly wanting to go into a career with plants, in the future she can see herself in the place of a forensic scientist. Kat sees herself as less of a materialistic person and would rather live a comfortable, independent life. She doesn’t see herself staying in California, but can see herself living in a grand city.
